Lyrics

HURRYING ALONG
Hurrying along slowly, neither here nor there, oblivious to reality in the midst of materiality.

I see; he sees; they see.
You see—Yourself!

THERE COMES A TIME
IN LIFE YOU SEE;
ALL IS CLEAR
AS CLEAR CAN BE.

HOWEVER, IN THE DARK
WITHOUT THE LIGHT,
THE CLEAREST CLEAR IS OUT OF SIGHT.

Her current state of mind saddens the doctor.
She is cheerfully melancholy
(Happy to be Sad).

Doctor Paul changes Christine’s medication and immediately starts her Music Therapy. He introduces the stressed-out young artist to The Metaphysical Jazz Narrative and Suite “THE MAN WITH THE TWO CANES.”

2/TO EACH HIS OWN
Narrative and Dance

Inasmuch as, one cannot be here and there, or there and here simultaneously—consider the sphere of the spirit that mystic domain of the Supernatural, where here, is there, or anywhere.

NARRATOR/DANCE

THE MAN WITH THE TWO CANES
APPEARED TO ME, TO BE
JUST AS I SAID,
AS I SEE

BUT WHO’S TO SAY
JUST WHAT THEY SEE
FOR WHAT APPEARS
JUST MAY NOT BE.

SOME DO…. SOME DON’T.
SOME WILL…. SOME WON’T.

TO EACH HIS OWN
TO SEE, OR, NOT
TO CARE—
TO SEE

TO EACH HIS OWN
TO BE, OR, NOT
TO SEEK—
TO BE

TO EACH HIS OWN
2 EACH HIS OWN

I SEE—WHAT I SEE
HE SEES—WHATEVER
THEY SEE—WHAT, THEY WANT TO
YOU SEE—YOURSELF

2 EACH HIS OWN
TO SEE, OR, NOT
TO CARE—

2 EACH HIS OWN
TO BE, OR, NOT
TO SEEK—
TO BE

SOME DO…. SOME DON’T.
SOME WILL…. SOME WON’T.
